It features the kind of acting, action and music that only the likes of Kevin Costner and Tom Hanks can pull off.
But the real highlight comes in the closing credits, where McConaughys, who is best known for his work in the original “The Bourne Supremacy” trilogy, shows off his own ability to draw out the best in actors and filmmakers, and makes a compelling case for why he deserves a second chance.
Watchmen was an early favorite of mine for being one of the most fun and satisfying superhero movies ever made, and it was also one of my favorite movies of 2018, because it was so smart and clever at the same time.
But it’s also one that’s been unfairly criticized for not doing enough to adapt the source material, with a big budget and an even bigger script, as well as a film that was made in the age of the internet.
Watchman is the sequel to the 2011 comic book book film starring Matthew McConnaughey, and is set to hit theaters on October 27, 2019.
Here’s a look at the trailer for Watchmen.
