The Australian Film and Television Commission (AFTC) has put out a new guidance for its customers on Valentine’s day and asked them to be aware of the following:The guidelines are in addition to the one published in May which specifically said the following in the “best practices for movie viewing” section:As of the start of this month, Valentine’s has been declared the official date for all Australian cinemas to screen films for all moviegoers, including people who are over 65 years old and have been on a disability benefit.

As of March 31, the Australian Government announced the date for the screening of the final episodes of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and The Hobbit sequels The Desolation of Smaug and The Return of the King, which will go on sale on April 1.

The announcement comes on the eve of the Australian Film Awards, which kick off on March 15 and are being held in Melbourne and Sydney.
